Gentle sleep solutions for families with littles

Mindful, family-centred sleep support for newborns to kids

NEWBORN SLEEP

0-12 weeks

Expecting a baby? Interested in learning how to best support your newborn’s sleep from the start? Feeling exhausted from caring for a newborn and wondering what you can do now to improve sleep for your family? Whatever stage you’re at, you probably have questions. I can answer those questions. I can also help you manage expectations, lay the foundation for safe and healthy sleep, and provide gentle newborn-appropriate strategies you can try right away.

BABY SLEEP

4-18 months

You need help with your baby’s sleep, but feel overwhelmed and confused by all the conflicting information available. You’re exhausted. You want to sleep train your baby, but you’ve heard a lot of concerning opinions. You worry it won’t work, that your child is different. I can help you clear the clutter. I can help you design a sleep plan that will work, and I will be there to provide personalized support every step of the way.

TODDLER SLEEP

18-36 months

Is your toddler regularly waking in the night, calling or coming out of their room and needing help getting back to sleep? Was your toddler sleeping well, but seems to be going through a regression? Are you struggling with bedtime battles and nap strikes? I know toddler sleep, and I can help you work through both common and unexpected challenges. We will determine the best way to support your toddler in becoming a spectacular independent sleeper.

KID SLEEP

3-8 years

Sleep concerns with kids are often related to boundary pushing, anxiety and nighttime fears. ADHD and other diagnoses may present additional challenges. Kids need opportunities to build confidence in their sleep skills, and build trust in their parents to set and maintain healthy boundaries. I have worked with kids with long-term sleep challenges, and I can help you support your child in building confidence with a consistent plan.

WHY CHOOSE HAPPY LITTLE DREAMERS?

After months of feeding and rocking our twins to sleep I was really struggling, and that is when I saw someone in one of my mom groups recommend Jessica. We constructed a sleep plan both my wife and I felt completely comfortable with and confident in, and spent time discussing self-care for us as parents. Our twins are now in a groove I feel confident we can sustain. I couldn’t recommend Jessica more. She gave us restful nights and peace of mind … and that is more than I could have asked for!

We knew our little guy wasn’t getting the restorative sleep he needed and we knew we weren’t either. We contacted Jessica and were on the phone that evening. She was caring, she was fast, she knew her stuff and she had a plan out to us the next day. In days we had turned it all around. Was it perfect yet? No. Was it about 800% better than it had been? Eff yes. It just keeps getting better, and when a wrench comes our way, which we know it will, we have the tools to get things back on track.
— Michelle & Adam
We were not only exhausted, but also overwhelmed by our attempts to fix the problem ourselves. Thanks to Jessica, Theo is finally getting the rest he needs and so are we. He has become a happier and more playful baby and we as parents are able to enjoy our time together more as a fully rested family! I cannot recommend her services enough and am forever grateful for the support she has provided.

Sleep help for families on Vancouver Island and beyond

Happy Little Dreamers Sleep Consulting is a family-centred sleep care practice for newborns and children up to 8 years old. I am passionate about helping families sleep better. Mindfulness is at the heart of my approach. By helping families establish a strong narrative, the experience becomes about more than just improved sleep. It helps families become more aware of their current thoughts, beliefs and feelings, and how those might affect their child.

My goal is to help families learn to trust themselves, and leave them with the information, tools and, most importantly, confidence to prioritize sleep on their own. The process begins by getting to know your family. We talk about your goals and expectations, beliefs and values. My recommendations also consider the latest sleep science and child development to determine what will work best for your child and family. And I fully support you every step of the way.
